T97631 is about OOUI expecting the font size to be 12.8px (because it sizes the icons at 1.875em and expects that to be 24px), and that does actually... [01:41:38] Ended up having to mess with the command line and modify the X11 conf file (I was told that was no longer a thing). [01:42:03] Oh, but it uses the stylish new conf.d mechanism (/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d) so it's fine then. [01:42:06] ;) [01:42:10] I haven't had to repair my X11 config for years [01:42:46] RoanKattouw, this used to happen rarely, then I would plug the VGA cable in and out like 10 or so times, and it would work. [01:42:52] Which is itself bizarre. [01:43:05] But now that didn't even work, so I had to mess with the command-line. [01:43:22] I experienced a bug in Ubuntu for a while where it sometimes wouldn't recognize the external display I plugged in [01:43:32] for a while that was more frequent than usual [01:43:53] and I found that opening the settings screen (not even display settings, just general settings) fixed it [01:44:05] Interesting [01:44:18] For me it recognized, it just wouldn't switch the resolution. The internal supports less than full HD, but the external supports full HD. [01:44:22] I knew I could fix it from the display settings screen, but it never gave me a chance to get there, because it would fix itself if I just threatened to go there [01:44:29] :) [01:45:07] RoanKattouw, what if the display settings screen just says, 'TODO: Update this i18n message', and that's it?
