[00:17:46] <enterprisey>	 Another user (Ed6767 on enwiki) has suggested generating a random string, storing it in a cookie, saving a single edit with the hash of the string, and then sending the string up with every request (the server would then check it). Seems fine to me, although it sounds a bit like reinventing the wheel
