[16:02:40] Reedy: find whoever is making it a lot more difficult than it has to be [16:02:49] Reedy, Sack half the MPs [16:03:05] ^ And what millimetric said. [16:03:05] only half? [16:03:06] like, it's a simple thing, someone must be profiting from it happening, just find those people and tar and feather them [16:03:29] Lucas_WMDE, At least I should have said [16:03:56] Millimetric is right though. Get rid of anyone making it impossible. [16:04:00] find a very strong solvent; find someone who has access to 10 Downing; pass them the solvent to unglue May from her chair... [16:04:06] Reedy lol [16:04:12] that's probably only step 1 though :-( [16:05:21] seriously, lots of pain, no particular reason, almost unanimous agreement from anyone with any sense that it shouldn't happen, no reason why it can't be cancelled, so it's gotta be corruption of some sort [16:05:49] Reedy sign the petition? :P [16:05:51] all right, Brexit solved, next [16:07:02] The "leave campaign" has been investigated (and found to be guilty of) misrepresentation and stuff [16:07:37] sure, but like, who cares, they're objectively stupid [16:08:35] i agree with they are stupid just look at boris [16:08:43] We didn't need to leave ever. Just have strong politicians to get us good terms that satisfied people. Now they can't even convince their own party to support them. [16:19:59] * paladox backs option M and L [16:22:00] MPs Told to clear diaries for Friday.MV3? [17:03:25] Thank you all for your participation in the technical advice irc meeting! I hope you all get clever ideas for fixes to your technical and political problems. [17:05:11] chilborg, That was a very technical meeting. [17:08:14] that was the tech advice meeting? woops [17:08:30] political issues don't have technical solutions... [17:10:05] Yes that was the tech advice meeting [17:10:06] Sure there are, e.g. Replace democracy with our strong AI overlords [17:10:28] Nuking the entire planet from space also solves most political problems ;) [17:16:45] you have an interesting definition of 'solve' :-D [17:22:34] The vacuous solution [17:47:50] For those interested #wikipedia-politics exisits [17:50:45] <[1997kB]> anybody use desktop view on chrome for Android? [17:51:17] No, I'm Chrome for iOS. Why?? [17:51:31] ^^ [1997kB] [17:54:39] <[1997kB]> wondering if you also get this wierd view https://pasteboard.co/I7ojLif.png [17:55:36] What page [1997kB]? [17:55:59] <[1997kB]> on any article history page or user contributions. [17:57:58] [1997kB], that's why I see. Logged out and in incognito so try safe mode. Might be a script. https://usercontent.irccloud-cdn.com/file/F8HJv0gz/4757344C-A8FB-469D-9CB0-A3B869AA0BF7.png [17:58:28] If you hadn't noticed, that's your contributions [17:59:54] <[1997kB]> same as before in incognito. [18:00:41] Have you tried safe mode? [18:01:30] <[1997kB]> not safe mode, but it happens in incognito [18:02:04] Try Safe Mode [18:02:57] Are you en.wikipedia.org? [18:03:20] <[1997kB]> yeah on the same page you shot, my contributions [18:04:19] Try Safe mode, Looks like a script must be affecting it. Not sure which it would be. [18:04:39] <[1997kB]> same with safe mode.. [18:04:54] <[1997kB]> i was logged out, so i don't think it's a script. [18:05:47] Unusal, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/1997kB looks fine to me. [18:06:01] <[1997kB]> plus it's fine on other browsers. [18:06:14] Your browser then?? [18:07:48] <[1997kB]> i have chrome and Firefox, normal on Firefox, but that unusual view on chrome. [18:08:44] <[1997kB]> hope someone with chrome on android popup in. [18:10:26] maybe related to the problem described here? https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T217292 [18:11:20] I've raised a support call with TrueKey regarding Wikipeida SUL. Can you someone check it sounds good? https://community.mcafee.com/t5/True-Key/Multiple-URLs-for-one-login/m-p/621013#M2641 [18:13:53] <[1997kB]> yeah MatmaRex looks like similar issue in that usual view top links are same as RhinosF1 described in ticket. [18:13:53] MatmaRex, Thats my bug. If it was related then a refresh should fix it. [18:14:19] Refresh has always done it back to normal [18:14:24] Sent not done [18:16:42] <[1997kB]> refresh fix top links but not history or contributions [18:17:51] I've never noticed an issue with contributions/history might be best to raise on phab. [18:30:45] RhinosF1: I mean the support ticket looks fine [18:30:54] although they may suggest to just always login from the same domain [18:31:06] since logging in at enwiki logs you in everywhere [18:32:05] I know it does but if you get logged out then it's easier to log in from the wiki you're currently on.
