[11:50:13] legoktm: I just saw your message, feel free to merge T210941 if it's the same bug, thank you. [11:50:14] T210941: Fatal exception of type "MWException" on fr.wikipedia when trying to move a page to a page that already exists - https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T210941 [13:28:12] hello can i ask something ? [13:33:17] Is it already possible to download the entire wikipedia english ? [13:33:24] cortex_: of course you can ask. It might just take (quite) a while until someone who knows the answers is seeing and answerin it [13:33:45] yes it is [13:34:02] how much TB ? [13:35:02] Depends on the format and size of images. But only a "few" GBs no TB [13:35:30] mmm so with all the images right ? [13:35:34] For what do you want it? Offline reading? [13:36:53] i want to have the entire wikipedia on my phone [13:36:53] all images which are displayed in an article [13:37:07] for reading offline yes [13:37:35] ~80 GB with small images [13:38:00] There are two wellknown alternatives: 1. http://www.kiwix.org [13:38:11] mmm so i need a 128 gb mobile phone? [13:38:41] 2. http://aarddict.org/ [13:39:08] cool thanks. [13:40:02] but this is only a dictionary [13:44:15] Nudin_WMDE: i see kiwix thanks [13:44:29] there are wikipedia-dumps for aard two [13:44:59] they have also smaller versions (without images or only popular articles, etc) [13:47:42] what is the difference between full and light ? [13:49:27] Can I only download the parts that I am interested in? [13:49:27] Not yet. [13:55:03] Nudin_WMDE: are you there? [14:10:35] light is without images I think [20:50:22] Hi everyone! (I've asked about this in #wikimedia-commons first, but someone referred me to this channel which I think is probably indeed more approriate for my question) For the last few days I've been having some issues with large images (around 20MB) not loading completely sometimes, when opening a full-size image in my browser it often loads only partially leaving the bottom part of the image [20:50:24] completely white. If I refresh a few times I usually get lucky and am able to get the whole image, but it seems to me that the server is sometimes randomly dropping my request in the middle of loading. This issue happens on both my laptop and phone, on both firefox and chrome and on multiple wifi networks. In addition I am able to download equally-sized images from other websites without any problems. [20:50:26] I think this problem might be local to my area, since some of my friends on another continent are not experiencing it. My location is Ontario, Canada. I was wondering if someone here might be able to help me with debugging what's going wrong here? [20:51:18] here's an example of an image with which I'm having this issue: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/8e/Sunset_Toronto_Skyline_Panorama_from_Snake_Island.jpg [20:53:11] jchmrt: https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T210890 [20:53:44] andre__: thanks! I tried searching on phabricator, but couldn't find it, sorry about the noise! [20:54:13] np
