[10:04:55] tgr: hoi, when are you going to fire the massmessage? [19:48:17] Recently I came across this on English Wikipedia [19:48:17] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:72-NorthAmericanPhalanx-exterior.jpg [19:48:23] It wasn't also on Commons [19:48:49] Id like a list of other images like this so I can tag them for 'duplication to Commons' [19:49:11] Algorithms are good in that. Humans.... less so. [19:49:15] I was told this needed some technical assistance so that genuine duplicates could be removed from the list [19:50:12] Basicly if the file is tagged keep local at English Wikipedia, but theres an identical title/identical hash image at Commons it doesn't go on the list [19:50:28] If it's something that was deleted at Commons it doesn't go on the list [19:50:56] On the other hand if it Exists on English Wikipedia and not on Commons add it to the list. [19:51:12] This could I think be done as a query, but I'm not sure how [19:51:28] I've got some other related queries on Quarry [19:51:48] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Wikipedia_files_on_Wikimedia_Commons_for_which_a_local_copy_has_been_requested_to_be_kept [19:51:54] has about 5000 images in it currently [19:52:07] Checking for Commons existence manually would take a long time [19:52:32] So some kind of generated list that's shorter would be appreciated [20:37:33] * ShakespeareFan02 waves
