[08:16:13] hello, am suffering surfing wikipedia.. suddenly everything is slow [08:16:15] how to solve it [08:28:32] ss_gg: reboot the internet? [12:22:42] In the last 24 hours, I've suddenly been getting trojan emalis/spam on the email I only use for Phabricator. They are especially nasty as they are pretending to be from your doctor's surgery or about other medical appointments. Is it worth raising a task for, or does everyone already know about Phabricator being harvested by spammers? [12:31:48] Hmmm [12:31:57] Hey Fae [12:32:05] Hi [12:48:42] Fae: did you use the same address for toolserver? [12:48:54] Because toolserver.org addresses are regularly targeted by spam [12:49:44] Fae: Phabricator does not expose email addresses anywhere in its UI (except for when looking at commit logs in code repositories). So if Phab was really the source, that would be a Security issue. [12:50:03] Hm, not sure about toolserver, let me check my archives. [12:51:14] Yes, I'm using the address on https://tools.wmflabs.org/ [12:51:21] Maybe that's the source. [12:52:14] * Fae goes back in time, hunting for forgotten password... [13:00:40] Okay. Looking in more detail, I've had five emails, but only two types of trojan email, all from "insitedigestive.com", at least that's their chosen reply-to, not the from in the header. So this is one spammer that has harvested my tech email. There is no evidence that I had any spam on the account until yesterday. I see that I have subscribed to Labs-l with this email, so it's more likely... [13:00:41] ...that my email was harvested from the Labs-l archives. So, not much point in reporting it. Hm, I'll think about setting up yet another email, and making it exclusive to Phabricator... sigh.
