[08:50:55] Someone please help solve the maps.wikimedia.org ru.wiki mystery https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Talk:Scrum_of_scrums/2015-12-2 [11:42:20] " [11:42:21] This tool generates passwords using random words from an English dictionary. Please don't be offended by the accidental poetry in its compositions." [11:42:41] The European Commission is funny sometimes [11:44:20] hehe. where is that from? [11:52:20] andre__: their password suggester Louise CORSELLI-NORDBLAD [11:52:25] ahem paste fail: https://webgate.ec.europa.eu/cas/init/generateSamples.cgi?ext [11:52:51] That name is... too much poetry! :) [12:11:06] (Context: me spying on the Eurostat wiki for http://unicode.org/cldr/trac/ticket/9115 . Whee "Your email address has now been confirmed", now Special:Emailuser is my friend.) [14:30:11] wondering who's into RCStream/API stuff to help migrating away from OAI in https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T70866#1844347 [15:00:38] Can an extension have an associated maintenance script? [15:02:06] presumably [15:14:17] MatmaRex: Can you tell me if there is relevant documentation anywhere? I tried looking for it, but my searched returned null. [15:18:46] presumably not. [15:18:47] :) [15:19:14] Niharika: Flow has a few maintenance scripts. [15:22:25] MatmaRex: Oh, thanks. Definitely more than a few. [16:50:32] robla: is there a recommendation on when to move an RFC to wiki versus keeping solely in the Phab task? [16:51:24] I'm feeling like https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T119908 (Differential) should move to wiki as it's still growing/will probably continually be edited/word-smithed up until it's officially discussed [16:51:28] cc ostriches [16:52:18] {{ack}} [16:52:57] For T119908, I think wiki totally makes sense [16:53:33] word [16:53:37] I'll move [16:54:35] I don't have a general recommendation.... Phab only seems to work for "lightweight" or "fast track" stuff [16:55:14] * greg-g nods [17:14:42] {{done}} [19:50:02] What is this JS-only thing? Discourse? https://community.letsencrypt.org/ [19:52:36] Yeah [21:11:17] greg-g: thanks for creating the RFC for T119908. I put a pointer from the MW talk page to Phab for "discussion of record" [21:12:15] ahh, thanks [21:13:02] one GSoC feature idea that occurred to me by doing that: it'd be neat to have it so that you could associate the change feed from a Phab task with the watchlist feed for an article [21:14:43] in the case of [[Requests for comment/Migrate code review and management to Phabricator from Gerrit]], if a person puts that on their mediawiki.org watchlist, then they "should" (in a more perfect world) also get notifications when people comment on T119908 [21:23:56] * greg-g shrugs [21:45:54] robla: a start would be to have rss in phabricator :) [21:46:27] rss is the one and only think i liked in mingle [21:48:19] rss wouldn't be hard to add. Phabricator can post to an http url on each event. The only problem is right now the data is rather sparse [21:50:51] it all seems like the type of task a GSoC student could be asked to tackle without micromanaging them too much. RSS would be nice, but that's one of many ways to do it. [22:44:46] working with upstream is definitely not something for a gsoc student :p
