[12:26:18] <gilles>	 but as long as it has sane defaults I think it's fine. I'm sure editors used to open a bunch of tabs to check their watchlists on every wiki they're active on, so they were essentially consuming the same amount of resources on our end over multiple tabs instead of one
[12:27:50] <gilles>	 it intuitively feels hacky to send API requests to all the domains you're interested in, but it's actually not a terrible solution. no over-engineering required for something only a niche is going to use. and with good defaults and limits it can't do a lot of harm
