[14:27:34] The meeting name has been set to 'movement_strategy_discussion_coordinators_q___a___channel_is_publicly_logged' [14:27:41] #chair Nicole_WMDE [14:30:40] Hello. Good morning, good afternoon. I am Nicole Ebber, one of the track leads in the current movement strategy process. [14:31:06] For this next 30 minutes, my colleague Suzie Nussel and I will be available to address questions from our discussion coordinators seeking to host cycle 2 movement strategy conversations with their organized groups. [14:32:29] It would be nice if those of you who joined for this office hour can say hi. I’m not sure if any coordinators have joined, but happy to begin discussing observations or questions! [14:34:01] Hi Nicole! I'm the Italian language coordinator :) [14:34:54] Hi jaqen, good to "see" you. :) [14:37:50] jaqen, would you like to talk a little bit about how you as a track b coordinator work together with the organized groups, like the italian chapter? do you organize conversations together? [14:42:02] to be honest no, what I'm doing is inviting and involving chapter members in the onwiki discussion. there was a WMI RL event for cycle 1 discussion (at one of the association assemblies), but members do not seem to be interested in a similar event for cycle 2 [14:45:52] jaqen, thanks. We were actually under the impression that cycle 2 was more concrete and thus also easier to join and contribute to. But we have also seen a few groups going from in-person meetings to online conversations in this cycle. [14:48:36] Do we have other discussion coordinators in the audience who would like to share their experience or questions? [14:53:56] We will have our strategy session during our yearly conference this weekend [14:54:53] Although I am not quite sure if the audience will decide if it is track A or B meeting - as honestly is the same set of people [14:55:43] attends to the conferene - Wikimedians and in 75-80% also members of the chapter [14:55:45] poli_: Oh good! If it is the same people, than we can just label it as A + B. You should not worry too much about this issue. [14:56:02] It's acutally good that the ties are so close among these groups. [14:56:38] How long will your session be? Do you use the discussion guide (https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Strategy/Wikimedia_movement/2017/Cycle_2/Organize/Toolkit)? [14:57:00] 2 hrs - I am about to follow the instruction :-) [14:58:19] Ok! Any feedback you gather on the process is helpful for us. [14:58:24] And I just submited yesterday the proposal for grant for the meeting with experts - but is is actually track C [14:59:01] Yes, I've seen it, very good, and a lot of really interesting partners! [14:59:30] For all who don't know what this is about: We are funding expert events that affiliates invite partners to. [14:59:34] Would be good to have answer for this as soon as possible [14:59:45] https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Strategy/Wikimedia_movement/2017/Cycle_2/Reach/Apply [14:59:57] poli_: yep, we are working on it today. [15:00:07] great, thank you [15:00:18] Thank you! [15:01:20] Ok, time is up already. Thank you to those who joined, and hello to those who read the logs afterwards. :) [15:02:11] #endmeeting [15:04:33] #endmeeting [15:04:33] Meeting ended Tue May 30 15:04:33 2017 UTC.
