[13:12:27] Hi there. I'm receiving 500 on every second request in the horizon.wikimedia.org UI. Is there something happening now? [13:12:36] Yesterday evening it was fine... [13:56:57] !help Hello, I constantly get error 500 on Horizon [13:56:57] Zoranzoki21: If you don't get a response in 15-30 minutes, please create a phabricator task -- https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/maniphest/task/edit/form/1/?projects=wmcs-team [13:58:16] Error: Unable to retrieve the limits. [13:58:22] Error: Unable to fetch the service catalog. [13:58:29] Error: Unable to retrieve the keypairs. [13:58:54] What's happening? [14:01:45] That doesn't sound good. [14:03:08] I am not at a computer yet... are other things not working? Also have you tried logging out and back in? [14:03:25] https://prnt.sc/rk6j8n [14:03:52] On logout I got this: [14:03:53] Internal Server Error [14:03:53] The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. [14:03:53] Please contact the server administrator at webmaster@wikimedia.org to inform them of the time this error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error. [14:03:53] More information about this error may be available in the server error log. [14:04:54] I refreshed page, and I got login option. When I tried to log in, I got this error again. [14:05:03] I refreshed three times now and got logged in [14:14:21] There were changes the other day. I don't know which might have caused this. [14:15:07] My thought was that it expired the session very badly [14:15:23] Is it working after log in? [14:17:45] Zoranzoki21: can you make a ticket as well? [14:19:03] I can look in a minute [14:20:21] Thanks andrewbogott .I'm getting out of bed still and figured I'd need help to fix anyway [14:23:10] !log admin restarting apache2 on labweb1001 and 1002 [14:23:12] Logged the message at https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/Nova_Resource:Admin/SAL [14:23:30] Zoranzoki21: better? [14:29:56] !log tools.wd-image-positions deployed 52678de195 (handle missing/invalid titles and langcode improvement) [14:29:58] Logged the message at https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/Nova_Resource:Tools.wd-image-positions/SAL [14:40:08] huh [14:53:21] Works [14:54:28] Much better :) [14:54:29] Thanks! [14:54:48] I'm going to resume working. [14:54:50] * Zoranzoki21 waves [17:34:09] sent in a tool removal request earlier, but then I saw this list of open tasks. Did someone just forget to close the tasks as they were done? - https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/maniphest/?project=PHID-PROJ-kkkjhyzbosf4oyaoaqwq&statuses=open()&group=none&order=newest#R [17:43:39] was just surprised how old a lot of them were [18:25:54] nope, as far as I can tell they just don't get processed [18:26:12] https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T170355 [18:48:06] DSquirrelGM: T170355 explains the situation pretty well I think? That is also linked from https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/project/view/3975/ [18:48:07] T170355: Figure out process for deleting an unused tool - https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T170355 [18:48:47] TL;DR we do not have a well defined process for deleting a tool. Also it is not a high priority to create such a process [18:52:19] like I said, just noticed it in passing [19:16:23] DSquirrelGM: it felt a bit more like what you did was come here to shame others for not doing the work you hoped they were doing, but I might just be on edge generally right now. [19:16:59] sorry, didn't mean for it to come off like that [19:52:27] hello fam, i have found this issue (Install Sparql kernel in PAWS [19:58:59] ? [20:00:41] T193341 -- Luckybrave are you hoping for some help starting on that as a start task for the Outreachy project? [20:00:42] T193341: Install Sparql kernel in PAWS - https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T193341 [20:01:07] yes [20:01:12] I think "easy" might be aspirational there, but chicocvenancio would be the person to talk to :) [20:05:44] ya but timezones is the biggest problem , we rearely connect [20:06:29] so thought anyone with an idea would be of added advantage [20:11:31] Luckybrave: paws-beta seems to be broken right now, so I guess step 0 would be to figure out how to get PAWS running locally to develop things. Other than chicocvenancio, bstorm_ and arturo are the other mentors for the Outreachy internship. [20:12:49] For that task specifically you don't really need PAWS as a whole, Luckybrave [20:13:11] * bd808 didn't even have to ping a 3rd time ;) [20:13:59] I feel like I'm missing a joke here [20:14:33] Luckybrave: do you have docker running locally? [20:16:03] The task is basically figuring out how to install a sparql kernel in the singleuser server. That is the container paws brings up for each user, but you should be able to set it up locally with just Docker. [20:26:36] no i do not have docker yet, though can put it asap [20:27:02] which operating system is most suitable for use [20:29:14] Most tutorials will assume you use Linux, if you have a choice it might be easier. [20:29:45] But anything that runs Docker will do.
