[11:51:08] define "new discussion features" [11:51:56] that [ reply ] option on discussion pages. [11:56:21] it's on beta features on other wikis but I don't see that on wikidata [11:57:05] yeah, is it enabled for you also? [11:57:35] I load it globally via my global.js [11:58:26] let me test on a testing account [11:59:44] I don't see it on User:Majavah-test [12:01:26] I also loaded it via global.js, but even after disabling it shows up. [12:01:55] you sure that it's not just your browser caching your global.js? [12:04:02] let me check incognito [12:06:50] wat it was cache.. I had to clear site data.. [18:52:25] hello, what extension does wikidata use to display QID instead of a name of an article? [18:53:49] cloudcell: It's https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Wikibase, but I believe technically QIDs are used as titles of the article [18:54:06] thank you Majavah [18:54:11] yw [19:08:38] Majavah: will I be forced to use the format of the page once I install Wikibase? I.e. those pages that have QID do they allow the content as in regular mediawiki? [19:09:41] one namespace will be used for data items (with qids), but other namespaces can be regular wiki text [19:10:41] I don't think you can mix the two in the same namespace [19:11:17] so the answer is "if I use a page with QID then I will be forced to use the dataforms that I used to submit structured data", right? [19:15:35] I think so? [19:15:45] I'm not very familiar with the setup of it though [19:30:47] ok, no problem, thank you very much [23:03:49] moin [23:03:54] anyone uses WikidataIntegrator? [23:04:35] I haven't heard of it before [23:04:37] what does it do? [23:08:10] its a python module to interact with WD https://github.com/SuLab/WikidataIntegrator [23:11:31] oh well, maybe i should get the data extractor for the other third party sites to work first :D [23:12:34] ahh [23:19:18] but im too tired [23:20:49] nikki: well, my plan is to read a property from a QID, the do some stuff with that like lookup on other sites to get additional properties which are then fed back into WD :D [23:23:08] but that semi-automatically, like everything from getting a QID candidate until the lookup etc is automated, there is only one manual step: checking the correctness :D [23:24:55] right now i do all that by hand, which is tedious and takes a long time. [23:26:57] opening an item, scrolling to the property, copy/pasting to lookup on the other side, then manually copying the value and adding a new property [23:59:23] seems my messages did not go through :p
