By historical versions I mean that I want to get the full history of the article, to detect changes on the values of specific claims. I'm wondering which is the best option. I leaning towards the XML dumps because the seem to be the only dumps with full history. Another option could be the Wikibase API. Anyhow here has experience with a similar task?
[13:18:30] <melderick>	 dsaez: hello. I would say use the dumps if you have to search into 50k history. but only if you're sure the XML dumps have the data you need (I guess dumps with full history must be huge)
