[04:00:30] Hi I was hoping to get some help with SPARQL? [04:00:40] Im trying to find all the records with population and a location. [04:02:26] Im good with SQL but still getting used to the wikidata model and SPARQL itself. [04:32:56] https://pastebin.com/JfwYnDSi [04:33:44] so this is pretty close but it's all subclass of city. [04:34:21] I want towns and hamlets and whatever else has a name, location and population [11:33:01] hmm [11:33:01] https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q596594 [11:33:44] It feels it should either be a genre (and then the English description seems wrong) or be changed somehow anyway [11:34:17] agree [11:34:24] Right now there's a work that claims to be an instance of "concrete poetry", which seems wrong, but we don't have anything better, do we? Unless we do "instance of poem" and genre "concrete poetry" [11:34:47] Or we decide to have "concrete poem" as a separate thing [11:46:18] Ok, changed it to be a genre for now [11:46:32] (also added "subclass of visual arts", seems reasonable for this one) [12:41:26] planemad: hallo! [12:41:49] planemad, did you know: UniversalLanguageSelector is still in active development. [12:50:44] DanielK_WMDE, or any other Wikibase developer: Is ULS used anywhere on wikidata.org as a language selector panel, other than at the top personal bar? [12:51:35] I know that ULS's language names library is used for autonyms, getDir(), etc., but is the actual language selection panel used anywhere else explicitly? [12:53:01] not as far as I’m aware of, but I’m not familiar with the full UI [12:53:30] I haven't seen it elsewhere. [12:53:51] I did saw it in the Upload Wizard in Commons where it doesn't make things easier. [12:53:55] I haven't seen it anywhere else either [15:26:40] Technical Advice IRC meeting starting in 30 minutes in channel #wikimedia-tech, hosts: @addshore & @Christoph_Jauera_(WMDE) - all questions welcome, more infos: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Technical_Advice_IRC_Meeting
