[03:02:54] just hacked together a fun extension to SPARQL - an ability to merge-in any CSV data into the query results. For example, you can create a list of things in excel, export it as CSV, save it on the web somewhere (e.g. github's gist), and access it as a SPARQL service. https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Sophox_query_service#External_Data_Sources [03:03:44] the data source could of course be dynamic - as long as it is parsable as a table [03:24:51] SMalyshev, CC^ also, do you know why i might be getting tons of these warnings after the last code update? No vocabulary entry for namespace - URIs with this namespace will not be inlined [09:50:31] Hey, I would like to contribute to WikiData, but i have a question about transitive properties, before I get starting: In the Help page it says: Only simple hierarchical statements should be recorded (e.g. child-father). But not "grandchild-grandparent", since they could be derived. But I have observed that this is often the case for "subclass-of". Is there some additional decision making into adding [09:50:33] superclasses as properties, which could be derived through the transitivity of "subclass-of"? [13:00:57] mainframed: I think there is a bot somewhere that removes redundant P279 claims [13:01:19] (not sure how often it is run though) [16:20:12] hi folks, i have a qeustion regarding wikidata and sparql [16:20:33] how can I obtain the wikipedia article (in the different existing languages) associated to an item? [16:22:30] have items a label which is the same as a wikipedia articles? [16:23:22] pintoch: thank you [17:16:54] Hi, accidentally made a few edits while logged out. Is this the place where I can request my ip address to be masked? [17:17:14] SMalyshev, around? [17:20:58] !admin [17:21:33] ipedits: ? [17:21:55] See my request above [17:22:39] you can pm me the diffs [17:24:49] Is the via the "Email this user" link on your user page? [17:25:00] you can email oversight@wikidata.org [17:25:17] Will do, thx. [21:43:39] can i use multi-line strings in SPARQL? a string that would begin on one line, but won't close? [22:59:00] Is there a property in Wikidata for "depicted on a postage stamp"? [22:59:24] If not, there needs to be and this list of lists dropped in :) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_people_on_the_postage_stamps_of_Germany [23:36:25] :) [23:36:27] funny [23:37:00] but i guess it's a valid request :) (replying WiseWoman) [23:37:12] SMalyshev, hope you are around :) [23:37:32] I'm trying to use Wikidata to solve the Berlin "Tagesspiegel" Christmas puzzle [23:37:47] They have little stories about people that are supposed to be hard to google. [23:38:23] I've had some good luck with a few, and some didn't go through because triples were missing or incorrect. [23:38:52] One is really difficult, but the person is depicted on a stamp in some country, so that would be cool to be able to add that. [23:39:03] Of course, that's not an everyday kind of query :) [23:53:26] lol, now it all makes sense :)
