[07:48:56] Hello Everyone, I have a question about federated SPARQL queries. I am the tech lead for sparql.uniprot.org a rather large and interesting database in the lifesciences. [07:49:08] One can do queries from uniprot into wikidata [07:49:09] e.g. [07:49:38] bit.ly/uniprot2wikidata [07:49:49] But the inverse is not allowed [07:49:50] https://query.wikidata.org/#PREFIX%20wdt%3A%20%3Chttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.wikidata.org%2Fprop%2Fdirect%2F%3E%0APREFIX%20up%3A%20%3Chttp%3A%2F%2Fpurl.uniprot.org%2Fcore%2F%3E%0ASELECT%20%3Fprotein%20%3Funiprot%20WHERE%20{%0A%20%20%3Fprotein%20wdt%3AP352%20%3Fid%20.%0A%20%20BIND%20%28IRI%28CONCAT%28%22http%3A%2F%2Fpurl.uniprot.org%2Funiprot%2F%22%2C%20%3Fid%29%29%20as%20%3Funiprot%29%0A%20%20SERVICE%20%3Chttp%3A%2F%2Fsparql.uniprot.org%2Fspar [07:50:09] What would be required for this to work in the future? [13:37:46] Lydia_WMDE, could you elaborate on what is the issue with the sparql and graphs? it was initially requested by Jonas_WMDE (kress?) [13:38:12] we have had this feature enabled for the past few months, it just wasn't on for client side, only server side [13:42:13] SMalyshev, ^ [13:42:40] also Hoofdconducteur if that's hoo :) [13:43:04] Nope [18:01:48] I am adding documents to Wikidata. In the absence of a "superior" unique identifier like a DOI, I am thinking of using a URL. If I have a link to a document, should I use "official URL" or the generic "URL"? I don't know that documents have "official" URLs as such.
